Ronald Bolton, 67, Glenwood, IA, passed away May 9, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society - Red Oak. As per his wishes cremation will take place. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern, IA. There are no scheduled services.

Ronald Lynn Bolton, one of two sons of Mervin Dallas and Ila Jean (Crouch) Bolton, was born on October 14, 1950 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He grew up in Glenwood, Iowa and graduated from the Glenwood High School in 1969. Ron attended college at the Iowa State University in Ames where he received his BA in Architecture. He was employed for over 30 years at Leo A Daly, an internationally recognized leader in the design of the built environment and ranked among the top design firms in the world.
Ron enjoyed fishing, reading, and had traveled extensively throughout the world.
Ron passed away on May 9, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society - Red Oak, at the age of 67 years, 6 months, and 25 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brother Glen Bolton; and half-sister Mervena Cooke.
Ron is survived by his brother Fred Bolton and wife Janice of Malvern; nephew Brad Bolton of Omaha, NE; other relatives; and many friends.
Ron was a mentor to me for several years during my time at LEO A DALY. The knowledge he passed on to me will be valued for my entire career! I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
