Terrance Brierly, 47 of Carson, IA, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at CHI Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.

Time of Gathering, for family to greet friends, will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson is caring for Terrance and his family.

OBITUARY
Terrance James Brierly, 47 of Carson, IA, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at CHI Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.

Terrance was born on December 15, 1978 in Atlantic, IA, one of three children of Franklin Lynn and Christine Marie (Bittner) Brierly. He was a 1997 graduate from Riverside High School in Oakland, IA. Terrance was employed as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.

Terrance was a fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and enjoyed gambling and traveling. He was an avid fan and follower of ancient alien shows along with anything that had to do with UFOs. Terrance purchased the plants for the Carson Community Garden the last few years. He looked forward to the annual 4th of July horseshoe tournament, planning his family Christmas party, and was president of “Everything Fun”.

Terrance was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.

Terrance is survived by his parents, Franklin and Christine Brierly of Carson; sister Adrianne Dirks and husband Dustin, along with their children, Riley, and Haley (Garrett) of Council Bluffs; brother Trevor Brierly and his wife Brittany, along with their children, Christian and Evie of Omaha, NE; great nephew (Evie’s son) Luis; maternal grandmother Joan Goodwin of Red Oak, IA; other relatives and many special friends.
