Robert Wayne Henry, 60, of Macedonia, IA, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at UNMC in Omaha.
Robert, one of ten children (5 boys, 5 girls) of George Thomas and Lois Vanny (May) Henry, was born on August 9, 1961 in Council Bluffs, IA. He graduated from Carson-Macedonia High School in 1979. Robert was a hard-working man who owned and operated his own trucking company for 25 years until he retired in 2019.
Robert, aka "Chiefy", loved spending time with friends, going on trail rides, riding his horses, and just being a cowboy (and Indian). Robert also adored spending time with his family, but especially his grandkids.
Robert will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help a friend in need, someone who was quick-witted and kept everyone on their toes, and also as someone who was never wrong (if you ask him). He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Henry and Ernest "Ernie" Henry; and sister Patricia Laws.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert Wayne Henry II (Michelle) of Bellevue, NE, Thomas Michael Henry (Robert Darlington) of Bellevue, NE, Kristin Marie Henry-Lawrence (Troy) of Oakland, NE, and Kimberly Jo Workman (Joseph) of Bellevue, NE; nine grandchildren, Virginia Henry, Kaleb Henry, Bonnie Henry, Isabel Bennett, Robert Henry III "Trace", Cameron Lawrence, Jeslyn Workman, Serenity Lawrence, and Cole Workman; girlfriend Angie Cummings of Macedonia; sisters, Georgia Small (CJ) of Eufaula, OK, Jeannie Russell of Eufaula, Judy Long of Daytona, FL, and Carol Bliss of Bellingham, WA; brothers, William Henry (Chaquita) of Maryville, MO, and Ron Henry of Oklahoma City, OK; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a host of very special friends.
