Michael Wear, 72, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. A Time of Gathering will be held from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Shelter 5, Lake Manawa State Park, Council Bluffs, IA. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Michael and his family.

Michael Clark Wear, 72, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away July 19, 2022 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Michael was born on February 18, 1950 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Kenneth and Marjorie (Leenerts) Wear. He graduated from high school while in Germany. Michael served in the United States Army. He worked in maintenance at Wal-Mart.

Michael and Amy Bucher were united in marriage on June 2, 2000 in Council Bluffs.

Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors, kayaking, hunting and fishing. He loved being with all his family, especially his grandkids.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; son Caleb Wear; and his brother Joseph Louderback.

Michael is survived by his wife Amy of Council Bluffs; daughter Carissa Wear and fiancé Jason of Council Bluffs; 4 grandchildren, Austin, John, Connor and Iliana; and other relatives and friends.
