Edna Woodard, 80, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood with burial in the Silver City Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the funeral home. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Edna and her family.

OBITUARY
Edna Louise Woodard, 80, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood.
Edna, one of nine children of Trueman Clifford and Ellen Mary (Johnson) Fender, was born on July 25, 1942 in Silver City, IA. She grew up and attended Silver City High School in Silver City, later receiving her G.E.D. In the 1960s, Edna worked at the egg plant in Malvern. She attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA in nursing and in 1982, received her LPN. Edna worked at the Nishna Cottage and Nishna Care Center in Malvern for 15 years. In 1987, Edna began work at the Glenwood Resource Center in Glenwood, IA.
Edna and Jim Irvin were married on October 3, 1959 in Malvern, IA. They made their home in Malvern and their marriage was blessed with three children, Arlene, Lynda, and Keith.
Edna and Harold Mason Woodard were married on December 8, 1979 in Malvern where they made their home. Edna and Harold moved to Glenwood in 1990.
Edna enjoyed listening to country music and her Elvis collection, bowling and softball, and was an avid fan of Atlanta Braves baseball and Iowa Hawkeye football. Her greatest joy was the love of family and her grandchildren.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Trueman Fender Jr., Marion Fender, Arthur Fender and Clifford Fender; and sisters, Lois Fritz, Lucille Archer, Evelyn Cowan.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Arlene Stanek and husband Tim and Lynda Radford and husband Bryon all of Glenwood; son, Keith Irvin and wife Danielle of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren, Jason Ayers and wife Meaghen, Elsbeth Stonerook, Jessica Stonerook and Kayleigh Stanek; 6 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; sister, Luella Franke; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of many special friends.
