Gary Ridgeley, 77, of Carson, IA passed away on Tuesday, March 21,2023 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1,2023 at the Wheeler Grove Church east of Carson. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following the service there will be a time of fellowship with the family. Loess Hills Funeral and Cremation Center in Carson is caring for Gary and his family.

Gary Dean Ridgeley son of Ivan and Lorraine (Timberman) Ridgeley was born on April 8, 1945 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. He graduated from Carson-Macedonia in 1964. He married Judith Carol Holland on March 21, 1969. They lived in Iowa before moving to Thornton, CO in 1986. Gary and Judy returned to Iowa where they enjoyed sitting out on the porch and waving to the neighbors. He enjoyed working on cars and was an excellent autobody technician, working in his shop and spending time in the garden.
Gary is preceded in death by his wife; parents; stepdad Walter "Buzz" Davenport; infant brother Richard; sister Carolyn Ridgeley; brother in law Vern Damgaard.
Gary is survived by his son Mike Ridgeley of Commerce City, CO; daughter Carla Ridgeley of Westminster, CO; sisters Vicky Henderson and her husband Tom and Kathy Damgaard both of Carson; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren with another on the way; mother-in-law Lois Holland, sister-in- law Jane and her husband Don Powers all of Tucson, AZ; other relatives and a host of many friends.
