Georgette was born on August 24, 1934, in Lambton, Quebec, Canada, one of eleven children of Alfred and Amanda (Arguin) St. Pierre.
Georgette and Gerard Louie Bilodeau were united in marriage on June 30, 1956 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Josee. In 1963 they moved to Meriden Connecticut, because of her husband Gerry's job and also to be near her two sisters.
She was involved with the French speaking community and made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed camping in Atlantic City by the Ocean, and especially enjoyed the Casino's on the Board Walk. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and accompanying her daughter on several cruises. Georgette was quick to make new friendships wherever she went. In 1993 they sold their home in Meriden and moved to Glenwood, IA to live near their daughter Josee and her family.
Georgette was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, crotchet and many other craft projects. She was also an avid gardener and took great pride in her cooking and baking skills. Pies were her specialty, as well her special orange chocolate cake, that was a holiday favorite. Her grandson Nick was the joy of her life, and she enjoyed every day she could spend with him, especially cheering him on at all of his track and field meets.
Georgette was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Gerard in 2019; six of her sisters and her three brothers.
Georgette is survived by her daughter Josee (Garry) Beier of Glenwood, grandson Nicholas Beier of Glenwood; stepchildren, Joseph (Nina) Beier of Temecula, CA, Jennifer (Beau) Curtis of Glenwood, IA, and Jessica Gillespie and Fiancé Ed Shinn of Port Allen, LA; two great grandchildren, McKenzie Beier and Konnor Curtis; sister Clemence Vermette of Sherbrooke, Quebec; Nephew Claude & Marcia Perry, of Augustine, FL and many friends.
